Typical. Just typical. It was another rainy day in Forks, and to top it off, it was a weekend. Shooting a glance out the window towards her Truck, Bella wished she could get out today. Charlie had gone fishing again with Billy, leaving her all alone to do her chores. Not that she minded, being alone never really bothered her. Plus, on the bright side, she had chores. Chores would keep her mind of the dull and boring day. Skipping into the kitchen, the girl looked in the freezer, and then realized, she'd have fresh fish to cook for her father when he came home. It was routine, Sundays. And Bella needed some sort of change.

After looking through the kitchen, and finding that, really, there was no good food... she'd have to go to the grocery store. Well, at least that gave her an excuse to go out somewhere. Keeping herself locked up in this house everyday was starting to really get to her. Pulling back her thick, brunette hair, she tied it at the base of her neck. Trudging up the stairs to her closet, Bella pulled out a freshly washed pair of jeans, and a long sleeved t-shirt. Of course, her parka was downstairs, as far as she knew.

Dressing quickly, and swiftly looking in the mirror to see, that, her complexion was still pale, she sighed and walked downstairs. By then, the rain was just pouring down harder. She couldn't drive in that! If only Edward were here. To think, she'd hadn't thought about him all day. Reason being, was, because if she thought about him then that'd make her miss him more. And while he was out hunting, she had nothing to do. Maybe Alice or someone would stop by to keep her company. But somehow, Bella doubted that.

With another sigh, she tossed herself down onto the couch. Looking at the clock, the hands read 2:30. Edward would be home soon, at least. And she KNEW he would at least come over. Regardless of what Charlie wanted, Bella always let him in. Her father was overprotective at times, and... well... he wasn't really that fond of Edward anymore. He'd seen where the relationship was going, and didn't like it one bit. He'd married young, and look where it got him. But seriously, he didn't need to be worrying so much. Bella herself, was petrified of marriage. Even made it so she couldn't even say the word.

The minutes ticked on, and eventually, she got back up and headed to her room. Glancing around the place, she expected to see Edward. But... he wasn't here yet. So, she tossed herself onto her bed, and closed her eyes. It was bound to be a long day. One that was going to drag on, and on and on....

How could anyone in their right mind stand being rained in all the time?

After hunting almost the entire day his thirst was quenched, at least for the most part. He had fed well, and could now trust himself to stay in control being surrounding by Bella's delectable scent. He craved her blood more than anything and she knew that well, and yet she didn't fear him. That not only bewildered him, but made him angry. She knew the monster that he was, but refused to turn her back on him. In a way that made him happy, he was entirely too attached to her now.

It was dark when he finally made his way to her house, leaving his silver Volvo behind and going by foot. Like most nights he was planning to stay with her, with out her father, Charlie's knowledge of course.

Edward now stood in front of her house, Charlie obviously not home from work yet, but instead of knocking he decided to surprise her. His lips twitched, curling into the crooked smile that always sent Bella's heart into a beating frenzy, and to be completely honest he loved the way she reacted to his presence. He knew that if had still had a beating heart his would be out of control around her too.

Unable to wait any longer he made his way into her house and up to her room, all with out making a single sound or disrupting anything in his path. Edward stared at her as she lay on her bed, eyes closed and his smiled broadened.

As he watched her, he wasn't sure she wasn't sleeping or just unaware of him being there, but he didn't disturb her. Instead he stood there, watching her happily as she lay there, wondering what she was thinking.

Silently, he moved closer to her and leaned over her, his smile still plastered across his face and his light gold orbs sparkling lightly. No longer able to just stand there and watch, he leaned down completely and pressed his ice cold lips to her fore head lingering only a moment or two.

"Bella." He said softly, straightening himself and moving a few steps back, all before she had time to react.

"Edwaaaard." She crooned. Yes, she was indeed sleeping. And to have him there, listening to her whilst she slept... he did it all the time. Really, it made her angry. And much more so, because she always talked about him. Always him. There was the occasional Jake thrown in there... seeking of him... she'd hadn't seen him in so long. Edward forbade it. Even though the wolves had helped out the Cullens numerous times, he still didn't trust him around Bella. With a slow, deliberate sigh, the girl turned over bringing the comforter around her tightly. Reason being, it was suddenly cold... much colder than it was before.

Her senses still worked, even though she slept. "Edwardd... come back already." Her eyebrows creased, bringing together across her forehead, showing her impatience. What a stupid human, she always thought she was. And to think, he was standing right there in the room. Did she forget to leave a note saying to wake her up if he were to come home early? Bella really didn't remember. Breathing softly, she drew that safety blanket closer to her slender frame. There wasn't much to do, while sleeping. That was for sure. But her dream...

Well, that was a different story. There were so many things flashing back and forth in her mind. First, she was all alone in their meadow. It was raining, which, really wasn't the problem. The problem was, that the red haired, cat like vampire; Victoria, was stalking her. She had her cornered, and Bella's legs refused to run. Standing there, the girl knew she was going to be devoured. Where was Edward? He was dead, laying across the grass, looking almost as if he was sleeping. Tears streamed down Bella's face, and she screamed in her mind.

All of a sudden, the Russet colored wolf came. Bella could remember the day they fought Victoria clearly, and the only one who was hurt was Jacob. Not Edward. So what did that mean? Then the scenery changed. She was getting taken away by the Volturi. Jane, the small vampire, torturing Edward with her talent. And instantly, Bella hated herself. Hated how her stupid mind worked. How fair was it, that while he was being tortured, she just stood there, watching it happen? She'd have rather taken his place. It was her fault that he was in this situation.

The pictures kept coming. Each scenario she'd been through, twisting, and contorting to her worst fear of all. Losing Edward.

Edward stepped forward, leaning over her sleeping form once again, taking in the broken expression her face was displaying. His earlier delight quickly dissolved from his face and was quickly replaced with concern. "Bella," He said sternly, trying to pull her from her nightmare.

His cold hands gently cupped her cheeks, his thumbs moving in a slow circular movement. "I'm right here." He said soothingly, his eyes not leaving her face. "You just have to open your eyes." He continued softly.

After a short moment her removed his hands from her face, in fear of freezing her, and placed himself on her bed. Without any effort he held himself above her, thankful for the blanket she had wrapped around her, and momentarily stared into her face- looking for some kind of change in her expression, but to his dismay found none.

He continued to stare down at her a moment, his brow knitting together in slight frustration. Out of all the people in the world why did Bella have to be the one person whose thoughts he couldn't read? If he had a clue at to what was going on in her dream... on what was distressing her, perhaps he would be of better help. He would know how to comfort her better for when he got and to wake.

And what made things even more frustrating to him is that unlike most nights, she wasn't speaking much. She had only begged him to returned to her.

Edward frowned. Did Bella sub-consciously fear that he would leave her again? He felt the familiar pang of guilt and pain that always engulfed him when he thought of the time he had abandoned her. He would have to reassure her, somehow, that he was there and not planning to leave her side, ever again.

He leaned down a bit, burying his face in her neck, nuzzling her gently. "Bella, I'm right here." He whispered softly in her ear. "I'm right here. Come back to me."

He remand still, his cheek pressed against the warmth of her neck, softly humming her lullaby to her hoping to bring her to consciousness, or at least reassure her some how in her sleep and making her dreams more pleasant.

Her heart jolted. The freezing skin of her lover, thats what she felt. But the dreams... they felt so real. Snapping her eyes open, and frantically looking about, Edward was no where to be found. Only then, did she realize, he was right in bed with her. "Oh, Edward! Oh god, Oh god." Throwing herself onto his marble chest, she didn't care whether or not she was freeze to death. Her arms interlocked around his broad frame, her heart never skipping a beat. He was home! Finally! Though, it was only two days, it felt as if it were longer than that. With a soft, heaving sigh, she turned from ecstatic, to... almost cold. "And where have YOU been? You're late." Withdrawing herself, even though she didn't want to...

She crossed her arms over her chest. Her cheeks burned. She always blushed like this, without even noticing it. Thats what she was going to miss the most when he chose to save her from humanity. Not even giving him a chance to answer, her eyes laid down on the time. "Oh CRAP!" Charlie was gonna be home soon! And she'd hadn't even started dinner! ... And then she remembered; he went fishing. He would bring dinner to her, and then, and ONLY then, could she start his and her meal. It made her feel bad that she'd have to leave Edward to do it, but, she had to keep up this charade... at least, for awhile. Eventually, Charlie would figure things out for himself.

For now, Bella kept things to herself. She saw him at school, and on the dates he took her on. That was it, concerning Charlie. He could never understand the world Bella had fallen in to, mindlessly. Bella, still couldn't believe how she... managed to not only obtain Edward. But hold onto him for almost over a year. She was plain, ordinary. She couldn't understand what he saw in her. Shaking her head, she replied "Charlie will be home soon. But, I bet you know that already, huh?" It was true, Edward knew everything. Sometimes, it ticked her off.

But thankfully, he was never able to get into her head. The only people whose talent's worked on her, were Alice's, and Jasper's. And yet, the whole Cullen family still didn't understand that part. Bella just figured she was mental in one way or another, so, it didn't really count. She wasn't a normal girl, nor would she ever be. Pushing back locks of her light brown hair, chocolate eyes locked with his. "So, how was the trip? Emmett get any grizzlies?" How nonchalantly she could speak about stuff like this now. It sounded... almost normal.

But Bella knew quite well, that they would never be normal. Not by her standards, or any one else's. Still, though, she tried to shake off those... dreams. Through her visage, it was true anyone could see how still shaken up she really was.

Edward watched the color linger on her cheeks as she spoke, moving from one subject to another- not staying in one spot long enough for him to speak himself. Any other day that would amuse him, but as of right now it only irritated him. He knew something was bothering her, he just didn't know what. He also knew that she was trying to hide the fact that whatever happened in her dream was upsetting her, and that bothered him a lot.

Unable to push away the fear that he was the cause of her nightmares and obvious anxiety, he quickly got to his feet and crossed the room.

"Charlie is just around the corner." He told her softly, deciding the details of his earlier hunt were unimportant as he now stared outside the window, waiting for the familiar lights of the cruiser to light the street. He wanted to get down to the chase. Needing to reassure her that there was no need to fear him leaving her again, that even if he wanted to he wouldn't be able to leave her side.

He turned his gaze from the window and returned his eyes to her on the bed, forcing a soft smile to his lips that didn't exactly meet his eyes. He was pained, knowing that he had caused her to suffer, but at the same time he didn't regret his choice. At the time he had felt that that was the right thing to do for her, so that she could forget about him and go on with her natural human life. Hanging with the undead most definitely wasn't natural nor was it healthy.

In the time that he was away from her he had suffered as well. He could hardly function, and it angered him that one measly human could affect him so, knowing that his anger was unjustified because he knew how much she affected him before he left.

He shook his head from his thoughts, frowning now. "We need to talk," He began, his head turning to look back out the window when he heard Charlie pull into his normal parking spot in his driveway. "When you come back up stairs." He finished, his eyes returning to hers.

In a blink of an eye he was standing in front of her again, leaning down enough to gently press his icy lips to her warm forehead, briefly. "I'll wait."

Damn. She must have been the worst liar ever, because he wasn't fooled by her faulty cover up. "Uhm... we do?" She asked. It'd only been a few months since she'd saved him from the Volturi-- or, her warped version of saving, anyway. Was... was he going to leave her again. Not wanting to pull herself away from him, she hesitated. For more than what Edward would have liked, she guessed. Then she heard Charlie call for her. Slumping her shoulders, she stalked out of the room, and went downstairs. The man had a giant cooler filled with fish, apparently, and then she knew she'd be the one cooking it. With a sigh, before she hit the bottom stair, she faked on a smile.

"So, whatcha got there, dad?" She hoped Edward was listening. He mumbled something, and then handed her the cooler. Returning to the kitchen, she placed the cooler onto the counter, and opened it up. Wrinkling her nose, she grabbed a pair of gloves, and dug in to the thing. They were rather large fish, and, she could get them in the oven and have plenty of time to "talk" to Edward. Yeah, as if talking was what she wanted to do right now. "God, this stinks.." She remarked about not only the fish, but her current situation. Yeah. She hoped Edward heard THAT, too.

Throwing the things in the sink, she put on the cold water and began to wash them. Removing a knife from the drawer, she went to cut their heads off. That instantly sparked her thoughts of Edward dying. "Beheading a vampire is one of the only ways to kill them.." She remembered Edward telling her that a while back. It made her think of one of the dreams she had whilst he was off in Italy. It wasn't a good one. Lately, none of them were good. Taking the knife to the fishes head, she couldn't help but think... and think.. and think some more.

Why did everything have to be so difficult with her? Lately, she hadn't really even been herself. Scared, mostly, of losing him again. She found out in that time, that she couldn't live without him. He was a permanent fixture in her life, and if she lost him... she'd loose herself. HELL! If Jacob hadn't saved her from the time she decided to go cliff diving... she'd already be dead. If it wasn't for Jacob, she wouldn't be around at all. She'd still be floating around in the abyss of oblivion, and... "OW!!!" And there was the return of the danger magnet.

"Dad, I'm fine. NO! I don't need to go to the hospital!"
She argued. She was a stubborn girl, with only one thought on her mind. Jeez, she couldn't even cook a decent meal without hurting herself. Shaking her head, she reassured Charlie that she would finish dinner, then, she'd go see Carlisle. Popping the fish into the oven, and running her finger under cold water, Bella began to get... lightheaded. Very, very, lightheaded. Just the sight of blood was nauseating. Holding her finger close to her chest, she knew she couldn't go in her room. Edward probably already smelt the blood.

... and it wasn't stopping. Making it half way up the stairs, she looked towards her door. Was he even still there?

The instant Bella had cut her finger the smell of her blood hit him like a punch in the face, and he fought not to lose control. Even though he had fed earlier that day, the sweet smell of her crimson blood threaten to overwhelm him completely.

His eyes darkened and he took a deep breath, holding it when he not only smelled, but heard Bella slowly making her way up the stairs.

He stood there, holding his breath contemplating whether he should stay or not. Not having much time to think it through, Bella would be there any moment, he turned to her bed room window and opened it soundlessly, making his escape.

As his feet gracefully hit the ground, he cursed himself for not being strong enough to remain in control. He snarled, angry with himself as he ran away from her house... away from her... and away from sweet scent that threatened to destroy his control completely.

He would run, at least long enough to clear his head and compose himself, and then he would head to the hospital to meet up with Carlisle, knowing Bella would be there shortly. Charlie wasn't too convinced she was alright, and from what he picked up from Charlie's thoughts there was no way Bella was getting out of this hospital visit.

He slowly down when he came close to the hospital, and walked in a human pace the rest of the way. His eyes were still dark and his face contorted with anger, causing people to dodge him as he entered the building. He didn't bother stopping at the front desk to ask for Carlisle, and the nurse didn't attempt to stop him as he made his way to the emergency room.

The smell of blood was strong there too, but not at all tempting to him, not like Bella's. He stopped out of the way of everything upon seeing Carlisle, sighing loudly as he thought of her. His klutzy accident prone Bella. As he stood there, scowling unhappily, he wondered if she was alright and if she would forgive him for being so weak.

Deciding to dodge her bedroom for the moment, in case Edward was indeed still there, she ducked into the bathroom and closed the door. Looking at her finger, she realized then, and only then, that she sure did a number. Shoving it under the faucet, she sighed, heavily, and just... thought about why she was such a goof. I mean, really, she wasn't like other girls at all. What did Edward see in her? Bella knew how much tried to reassure her, but... to no avail. She was just a stubborn girl, that honestly, had no clue as to why someone so god like, and amazing, would have an interest in something so bland, and... not amazing. She didn't see herself as a special girl at all.

Nodding her head, she shut off the water, and ventured back into her room. Hesitating, at the door. There was no sound, only... silence. Eerie silence, that she wasn't ready to confront. She could smell the fish cooking downstairs, and knew, if she didn't go in now... she wasn't going to. He wanted to talk. What ever about? Had she done something wrong? So many conflicted emotions rumbled through her entire being. Dinner still had at least a half hour to cook, and... she wasn't sure she wanted to confront him. In any case, she opened up the door, wide enough, to see passed the window.

... And it was open. Alright, maybe he needed air. Her finger gave her enough reasonable doubt. But then as she extended the view... he was no where to be found. Unless he was on the ceiling, like in those really strange vampire movies. But somehow, she doubted that. Walking in through the archway, her eyes scanned the small room. He'd left. He'd left her. He'd... tears welled up in her eyes. She knew she had done something wrong! And cutting her finger was... was... SO RECKLESS! And absolutely STUPID!

How were they ever going to be together, if she kept messing up like this? And then the panic set in. Oh no, the panic wasn't good. Breathing heavily, she sat herself down on the bed, her eyes... just staring. Where had he gone? Back to his families house? Or back to Italy? Or.. or what? She hadn't a clue. And, she was pretty stupid about it, too. Bella couldn't bring herself to think even for a moment, that it wasn't her fault. She kept repeating "Stupid. Stupid. Stupid." Until her mind went blank. And then she heard Charlie's voice again. No way was she going to go to the hospital now. What if she saw Carlisle?

And how would she explain that, despite everything else, that she had driven his son away again? She... needed to see Jacob. But was he talking to her? Of course not. He was still livid over the fact that she chose Edward over him. And that, she chose to go to Italy to save him. She had no one now. Mainly, she didn't have Edward. And, most importantly, she could feel herself drifting away.

Edward stood there, off to the side in the emergency room, out of the way of the chaos of the doctors scrambling around. Victims of a three car pill up had arrived moments before, but that didn't bother him. Not even the strong smell of their blood bothered. All he could think of at the moment was, where is she, as his eyes darted quickly from one corner of the room to the next, scanning each individual person. He didn't know why because he knew she wasn't there. He would have picked up her scent long before she was able to step foot inside the hospital doors.

She should have been here by now, at least, he would have had her here by now, and all this waiting was making him uneasy. Inpatient, he listened into Charlie's thoughts, instantly becoming ridged by the police chief's panicked thoughts.

Something was terribly wrong, and he knew now that he shouldn't have left her in the first place. Turning toward the door Edward curse himself under his breath, and took off in what appeared to be his attempt at sprinting- All thoughts of speaking with Carlisle forgotten.

Once outside and completely sure he was out of range of any human eyes, he took off in full speed as fear quickly took hold of him. Why the hell did he leave her when he knew she was hurt? When he knew that Bella had tendencies to be careless, especially when it involved her own well- being. The danger she was now in was his fault, he knew if he had stayed that he could have some how prevented it.

He was now standing outside her house, his breathing only altered from panic sitting in. Charlie was home, so he couldn't exactly walk in, could he?

Deciding now wasn't time to be moral, mostly because he didn't know exactly what kind of danger Bella was in, he hadn't lingered in Charlie's mind long enough to find out. He saw his panic, and Bella's limp form on the floor and that was all he needed, all he could bare.

Opening the door, Edward ran in and up the stairs in record time. He was surprised when the strong oder of Bella's blood didn't hit him until he was outside her bedroom door, staring at Charlie's back as he leaned over Bella, blocking her from his sight.

Even with the scent of her blood thrashing around in his nose, he stayed calm and stepped forward, knowing Charlie had no idea of his presence. "What's going on?" Edward heard himself ask softly. "I got worried when no one came to the door... I knocked three times." He lied.

It was her fault. All her fault. Sitting there on her bedroom floor, she took the finger she so mindlessly cut open, and... stared. Bella couldn't cry. The tears were all dried up. Charlie had come into the room, she knew that. Speaking so fast she couldn't understand him, really. And then the dinner went off with a loud ding. Apparently Edward was behind him. "Edward?" No. It wasn't him. It was her screwed up imagination again. It was probably her imagination that he was ever here. Charlie huffed and gruffed, and turned away to leave. He'd never understand his daughter, not when she was smack dab in the middle of catatonic shock. He left, and now she was alone again.

Shaking her head, she stood to her feet. She had to feed him, despite how utterly confused she was. Pushing passed the make believe Edward, she launched for the stairs. He wasn't real. He'd never been here. And... she could feel the lump in her throat grow just that much larger. Her finger had stopped bleeding, probably from the amount of pressure she had put on it. It didn't look so bad now. Then again, everyone always flipped out over the dumbest things-- like a papercut. Something that was lethal to them. Bella felt she was always testing them... she was so clumsy, and stupid, and...

Large hands grabbed her. And Bella didn't even have the means to scream. They were cold hands, iced cold. And she recognized them to be Edwards. But how could she be sure this time? After all, she did ride motorcycles, and jump off cliffs just to hear his voice in her head. When she physically hurt herself now, was it possible she could feel him, and see him, too? Just moments ago he was in her room, after all. It could be her mind playing tricks on her. "I'm not going to fall for this again, Edward." Bella shook her head. "Not in a million years."

Would the vision be confused? She was sure Edward would be. Bella never made sense half the time, and right now it was valid she had lost her damn mind. Running her good hand through her brown locks, she turned around and eyed him down. But then only fled off to the kitchen, where she had to finish making Charlie his dinner. Now, Bella wouldn't be able to eat. She felt too terrible. Almost like she had before she went to Italy. It was true, then. She'd driven him off, and she was making up images of him. She laughed; a cynical, sarcastic laugh. "How stupid am I." As she leaned down, to open the oven.

Grabbing a pair of mitts, she removed the pan that held her dad's dinner, and place it on the counter. Popping instant rice and vegetables into the microwaved, she put it on four minutes, and waited for it. Four minutes... how long would she be able to stay down here? Chocolate brown hues ran frantically throughout the brightly lit room. It began to bother her.

Edward turned swiftly, watching her disappear down the stairs- confusion and shock written into his marble like face. She had walked by him like he wasn't there, the both had. He was almost positive Charlie would have lost it upon him entering his home uninvited. Charlie had never truly forgiven him for the time he had left Bella, thinking she was better off, but he hadn't either.

He turned, making his way to the foot of the stairs, listening carefully, hoping to hear something that would give him some what of an idea about what was going on.

He cocked his head to the side, staring forward blankly. He heard the sound of the television turning on in the living room and then the sounds of the channel changing quickly. It was obvious that Charlie was no longer worried about Bella and her mutilated finger, his thoughts were consumed with a baseball game scheduled to come on in the next ten minutes.

Edward snarled softly, annoyed at Charlie's now lack of concern for his daughter. It was merely seconds ago that Bella was on her bedroom floor, curled into a ball looking lifeless that he seriously considering taking her to the emergency room. How could he allow his judgment to be clouded so easily because of a game.

"I'm not going to fall for this again, Edward." The sound of Bella's voice caught his attention and he turned his head in the direction of the kitchen. "Not in a million years."

Fall for what again, he wondered making his way down the stairs quietly- as if his feet never touched them at all, but merely brushed across them. He was missing something, but he couldn't figure out what. All he could say was, leaving Bella for that short time to clear his head had been a mistake, because obviously something happened in that time and for what ever reason he couldn't figure out what.

He stood behind her now, gently placing his cold hands on her shoulder as she placed the fish down on the stove after removing it from the oven. "Bella,"He said, his voice soft and laced with concern. "What is going on here? What aren't you falling for again?"

Slowly he turned her and gently tipped her head back by her chin, forcing her to look up into his warm liquid gold eyes. "Talk to me Bella."

He stared into her eyes a moment, waiting, his free hand reaching to grab hers, lifting it to examine her injured finger-sighing in relief when it wasn't as bad as he had thought it to be. "Are you okay?" He asked, his eyes now glued to hers once again. Slowly, he turned her hand and brought it to his cold lips, kissing the back of her hand. "You could clean it and put a bandage on it. Wouldn't want to get it infected..." He trailed off.

Panic was definitely there. Bella's eyes were wide with... something. Not fear. Definitely not fear of him, anyway. Ice cold hands grabbed her, and she looked towards Charlie for help. As usual, he was watching the game. It seemed like he thought she would be fine with Edward around. But where was he? "You're an illusion. You're not back yet. And I can't believe I'm stupid enough to be talking to myself." She finished, huffing. It was all in her mind. Edward hadn't come back from hunting yet. "But what I don't understand, is whats taking you so long." His grip was loose, and, she was able to pull away from him the moment the microwave went off.

Shuffling towards it, without thinking, she grabbed the dish, ultimately burning herself in the process. She was a mess. The nightmare, the make believe Edward... what was WRONG with her? Laughing again, very sarcastically to herself, she grabbed Charlie's cut up fish, and displayed rice and veggies around it. "Cha--DAD DINNERS READY!" She hollered. Her voice, just a tad bit shaky. Any moment, and it threatened to fail her. Yet, she couldn't cry. His touch was almost... solid. But Bella shook her head. When she went back up there, he wasn't there.

So it was only right that she told herself she was imagining things, right? Clean the wound. Yeah, like she could focus on herself for a moment. Where was he? Well, he was standing, right there in the room. Then again, she'd heard his voice the entire time he went off to Italy. Maybe her mind was getting more creative. In a way, that scared her. "You aren't real." Charlie came in then, a smugness about him. Probably thinking the two were having yet another "fight". But what Charlie didn't know, is that he wasn't here. And she was talking to herself. "What are you laughing at, Dad?" He responded with an 'Oh, nooothing." And sat down at the table.

Apparently, waiting for her. Storming back up the stairs, and heaving herself on the bed, she waited for the figure to follow. And he did, follow. "Either my imagination is getting better at making you up, or I'm in a serious need to take a trip to the closest insane asylum." Shaking the cut fingers, she popped it in her mouth, praying she wouldn't open the wound again. The last thing she needed now was a dizzy spell on top of seeing her vampire boyfriend when he wasn't in the flesh. Sighing, she watched his confused face. "Oh, what?" She demanded. That broke a smile from him. But she really WAS crazy.

Couldn't this... figurative Edward see that? She didn't understand this. The window was open. He was here. But he shouldn't be. Now this was confusing her, too. Ugh. Life was so complicated. "Okay, Okay. If you're real, prove it to me." She hated resorting to this kind of thing with him, but really. She'd been fooled once before, she could be fooled again. With a sigh, she felt like... a lunatic. But still, if he was real, he'd have to show it to her.

He stared down at her, a pained expression on his face. This situation was all too familiar, for this had happened once before. It was right after they returned from Italy...right after Bella had stopped him from ending his own life. He wasn't about to continue existing in a world where Bella Swan no longer had...

He closed his eyes, trying to escape the memories of how she was when she had finally awakened. She was so insistent that she had died and in heaven, because she would find Edward no where else but. He opened his eyes and looked down at her, his anguish visible in his honey colored eyes.

"Oh,no, Bella." He murmured, taking a seat on the edge of her bed. "What ever you are thinking you must stop." He leaned forward, nuzzling his nose against the pulse spot on her luscious neck.

It was times like these that he cursed himself and his inability to read her mind. He was obviously doing a horrible job in reassuring her that he was hear to stay- he'd rather die then force himself to stay away from her again. But she wasn't helping him either. She kept her insecurities to herself rather than speaking them... And the fact that she thought she couldn't speak about her fears to him tore him apart.

He lifted his head after gently pressing his cold lips to her neck, and stared down into her deep brown eyes. Prove it she said, just as she had last time. After he had destroyed her completely by leaving. Was she still trying to heal old wounds?

Edward frowned, brushing a stray strand of hair from her face. Perhaps he was doing more damage than good? But he couldn't leave her, not again. It not only affected her, but him as well. He had never been so useless in his life.

"Bella," He whispered sadly, cupping her face in his hands as he lend forward, his cold breath brushing against her cheeks gently. "What have I done to you?" He asked, his lips merely inches away from hers. "And how do I fix you? You've got to talk to me. You have to tell me what's wrong."

He stared into her eyes a moment before closing the space between them completely, and covering her warm lips with his own fidgeted ones.
