the P L O T
Bigmouth Strikes Again
With the closing chapter of the three nomadic vampires, its the beginning of a new saga. Theres a new vampire family in town-- and they aren't vegetarian. People from all over have gone missing, and Bella's afraid that its her that they want. After all, she's the only human in history that's infiltrated the supernatural world... or is she? Among the new family is a woman named Adalyn, and she was once a human, like Bella, who ultimately chose the path of eternal life. This gives Edward and Bella a little more hope... But her story didn't exactly have a happy ending.

Adalyn and her family of Romanov's aren't the veggie kind; and on top of that, they want to not only eradicate the Cullen's, but they want to take care of the Werewolves, and Bella, especially. Everyone is in danger now, and who knows how long the fight will take to start... and who knows when the fight will end. They call on the Volturi for help, but will they answer? Caius, and Marcus don't see them as a threat. The Denali's come to help, as well as all their other friends from all over the world. But will it be enough to stop the Romanov's from reigning? Only time will tell.

Kenzie blanched. Thoughts were coming back to her, she allowed them today. She felt in a good mood, happy so to speak. Content, really would be the best term. She was thinking of her friends, those she had in her earlier years in high school, before she knew she was a vampire, and before she began to hang out with her coven or 'family' rather than her friends. With a short spurt of laughter, she recalled the weekend the five of them had rented a small cottage by the beach. They were not innocent, that was for sure, but they had not been bad. They got into mischief, Kenzie remembered, smiling to herself.

She and her friend Willow were the dynamic duo of the bunch, the most rowdy and spasmodic of them all. It had been an evening, and they had decided to down some soda, well, a lot of soda. All the five were hyper as could be, laughing hysterically and grinning broadly. Willow was a dancer, she was going far with her talent, and she got up, and began to dance. Kenzie, being the singer of the crew, was pushed forward, where she sang, standing on a stone hearth as Will fluttered by. She can still remember the song she sang. It would remind her forever of those friends.

"Crashed on the floor when I moved in,
this little bungalow with some strange new friends,
stay up too late, and I'm too thin,
we promised each other it was till the end.

Now we're spinning empty bottles,
its the five of us.
Pretty-eyed boys girls die to trust,
I can't resist the day,
no I can't resist the day.

Jenny screams out and its no pose,
when she dances she goes and goes,
beer through the nose on an inside joke.
And I'm so excited, I haven't spoken.
She's so pretty and she's so sure,
maybe I'm more clever than a girl like her.
"

Kenzie sang that song even now. Of course she did not make that up, it was not her song. But it was the one that reminded her so much of her and her friends. Her voice drifted through the air, hopefully to no latent ears. As good as she internally believed she was at singing, she was still self conscious about it in public. Blinking her misty blue eyes, she looked down. The cliff's edge lay ahead of her, and she inched forward, wishing to look down at the view below. She stopped. Below her now lay a forest, lush and green at the base of the cliff. It was a grand sight, and Kenzie grinned just thinking of the moment she had herself in. It was the perfect moment.

But perfect was a strong word, she knew. Kenzie knew the extremes of words, all too well. She knew she should never use the word perfect. Because nothing was. But, deep inside, she refused to think back to the days she lived with her parents, the last few even more so. She wanted naught to think of her father and his dislike of her status as a werewolf. Ah, but there you go. Kenzie smirked wryly. There went that "perfect" moment, gone like the breeze that shifted her hair so gracefully.

Dimitri caught the girls scent. He'd been looking for her all day, to no avail. Skulking through the trees with an unnatural grace, his lean body shifted in between the branches, his natural curly-esque hair bouncing in the subtle wind. Shaking his head, the unbelievable thirst hit him. Where was Adalyn? Where was the love of his life? Nodding off on the subject, Dimitri crossed the boundary line, in search of one member of his family. The only member, who didn't drink from the humans as he did. The man found her strange, almost... alien, to him. But then again there were two covens that he'd known of, that did the exact same thing. It all, really, didn't make sense to him.

The man had never seen anything so... strange. Much like how his twin brother decided to work for the Volturi, and he, deemed not to. Shaking his head again, the man made his way through the trees, unnoticed eyes, staring at him the entire way through. The wolves. That must have been it. But weren't they known for taking action on vampire trespassers? Either they had a death wish, or they were curious. Either way, he found what he was looking for. Bessie stood atop the cliffs, looking as if she was in deep thought. If she hadn't felt his presence before, she would certainly feel it now.

Without uttering as much as a word, he was at her side. "What do you think you're doing here, girl?" Dimitri wasn't known for compassion. Well, he was but he wasn't. Sometimes, he could be downright cold. Especially, if he thought that a certain person was going to bring upon danger. "You know, as well as I, that if we want to take this land, we need not make ourselves known." He was straight, and to the point. Whatever perfect day she'd been planning was now eradicated. Dimitri wouldn't take action now, no. Not right now. But if she continued to stray, he might have to.

Running his hands absently through his hair, the man had only one goal in mind. Dragging her back to forks, kicking and screaming if he had to. "Come." Was the only other thing he'd said. Dimitri wasn't big on conversations, especially when the person he was conversating was threatening to expose them, and their plan for domination. That hadn't made Dimitri a very happy person today.

He could still feel those prying eyes on his back, screaming at him to get away, or be killed. Eh, he didn't care. He knew he'd be able to take them out, one by one. They'd dealt with newbornes, sure. But they'd never dealt with a vampire who wasn't into the animal blood conspiracy. He was strictly a carnivorous creature, making him stronger than the Cullen's would ever be. The man took pride on that fact alone. It made him smug.

Bessie blinked, feeling a presence creep into the air. Someone was coming, she knew, and merely stood there, trying to ignore the person, in case it were a human. She need not show she knew so quickly, it would cost her much grief, especially when she got home. But, as the presence neared, she let her empathy loose, her range reaching the man, she realized. She felt anger, curiosity, and frustration. Dimitri surely, she thought, sighing. Being the odd one out in her family was not easy, and if at all, it put her even lower of Dimitri's 'friend list.' Well, on all of her family's list, really. She sighed, hoping that he'd be at least somewhat nice today, though when she heard his harsh voice, Bessie gulped.

Groaning inside, she looked over her shoulder, her stormy eyes blinking at Dimitri. What are you doing here, girl? He sounded as angry as he felt, Bessie acknowledged, huffing. Well, this was a great start, eh? Her perfect moment ruined, and now its sounded as if she were in a bit of trouble with Dimitri, and probably Adelyn when she got home. "I was taking pictures, if you must know." Bessie retorted sharply, her eyes glinting. Though she felt a bit threatened by Dimitri, she would never show it. She had too much pride for that. "And, besides, I am doing no wrong. Its not like they have a right to bring up charges now." She argued passively, keeping her tone neutral now, blinking as the wind from the clifftop flew strands of hair around her face.

But when Dimitri told her to come, she sighed. She ought to really, and saw no reason not to. Grumbling like a child, she turned fully on her heels and followed the vampire, looking up at him reproachfully. "Can't find Adelyn?" She inquired, her voice so sharp and intelligent for one so short and pixie-like. She grinned smugly inwardly, knowing that she was right. She felt his frustration, and knew it well. "She might've gone shopping or something." Bessie suggested, knowing it was every girl's favorite pastime to shop, vampire or not. At least, it was her's.
